Wonderful place to take children with regular exhibitions and events. It is incredibly popular and gets especially busy on wet days (like today). All the staff are courteous, helpful and polite. The cafe is well staffed by equally helpful and courteous staff who always had smiles on their faces. We visit regularly and that will not change. A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours at the very least.
Great place for a day trip. The museum is located in a nice village. They cloakrooms that are easy to access and includes baby changing facilities. They have two small rooms for coats and push chairs to be stored too. The meseum is well stocked, lots of animals, with quite a few that kids will know and identify, and a lot that they won't, or are variations from other parts of the world. They have a small cafe and gift shop. Great staff, which put on activities for kids during holiday periods. They also have books to read with kids, and video pods, as you go around, to have time out of walking around and getting board. Perfect place to go for anything from an hour or two, to four or five hours, depending on how long you take.
