Conishead Priory is a large Gothic Revival building on the Furness peninsula near Ulverston in Cumbria. The priory's name translates literally as "King's Hill Priory". Since 1976, the building has been occupied by a Buddhist community.

  • Fabulous, peaceful environment. Gorgeous walks through woods to Morecambe Bay, gorgeous little cafe and gift shop. Every single person we met was so friendly. Dogs welcomed with lovely separate...  more »
  • You can walk around the grounds and down to the beach. There are history boards inside and the free meditation sessions so plenty to do. Good cafe to refuel or warm up this time of year.  more »
