Winchester College is an independent boarding school for boys in the British public school tradition, situated in Winchester, Hampshire. It has existed in its present location for over 600 years. It is the oldest of the original nine English public schools defined by the Clarendon Commission, seven of which were regulated by the Public Schools Act 1868.

  • Our first visit to the college which certainly exceeded our expectations. So much to see from the dining room complete with grand piano onto the chapel, and the choristers with its unique chapel...  more »

  • We went on a pre booked private tour but you can go online to their website or walk past & see if there's a board outside with info. Outside photos only none allowed inside because it's still a school. Lots of history going back centuries & a lot to do with the wars as this school lost a lot of old pupils.
