    Small “beach” area, 90% broken coral, 10% sand. Due to mostly coral waterline, it is difficult and awkward to enter and leave the water for snorkeling. The drive to 1,000 steps is scenic.

    Bonaire is primary a dive/snorkel destination and it lacks with easy access beaches we're used to. Driving around the island we stopped by 1000 steps (several free parking spots by the road). 1000...

    Dramatically beautiful–not really 1000 steps so don’t be intimidated! This rocky beach is backdropped by a large cave wall, and the water is clear and teeming with fish. More of a challenging snorkel than spots toward the south of the island but definitely a must-see and very worth it. Bring water shoes or sturdy sandals for walking on the beach areas–it’s very rocky!

    We went here to dive and much like the rest of the island it was amazing! Beware that the road is 2 way up to this dive site, after that it becomes 1 way heading north. The road narrows substantially and you can not turn back. To get back to town it is about a 30 minute detour through Rincon, which is a nice scenic drive if you have the time to make it.
