  • There is an excellent fishing guide, Luc Malbois, of "swiss fly-fishing.com". We spent an afternoon with him, especially for my grandson, who wanted to fish. Luc is excellent -- patient and calm...

  • A brilliant day trip in the fall. If you are lucky, the lake is frozen and you can skate before the first snow. You just need 2-3 cm of ice thickness, but even if you go through the ice, the lake is usually shallow at this time of the year. The reflexions of the yellow larch trees in the water or ice are wonderful. You need to bring your picnic since all eateries are closed at this time of the year. The drive up toe the lake is scenic and well worth stops to take photos. Highly recommended.
  • Superb pristine lake at 1449m. It is easily acessible by car or bus from Sion through a scenic drive with tunnels. Open year round, I would recommend a visit in automn during indian summer when the larch trees turn yellow. It's also a departure point for many mounatin hikes for all levels.
