Pragel Pass is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps between the cantons of Schwyz and Glarus between Muotathal and Netstal. The pass itself is located in the canton of Schwyz.
The pass road is parallel to the road over Klausen Pass and has a maximum grade of 18 percent. The east side of the pass road is closed to motorized vehicles on Saturdays and Sundays, which makes it ideal for bikers.

The road looks nice for bikers, but for walkers the long route round over the mountain is much more interesting. :-)

The Pragel Pass ... is very well suited to get a quiet insight into the beauty and transience of nature in the heart of the Central Swiss Alps. Nowhere else can you reach an unforgettable and untouched backdrop so quickly, where fauna and flora can develop freely. There are countless interesting details to be discovered everywhere. Interrupted by the screams of the native birds of prey circling majestically in the sky, the beguiling silence invites you to sharpen your senses and let your soul dangle again...
