Trip Planner: Europe / Switzerland / Swiss Alps / Canton of Graubunden / Engadin St. Moritz / St. Moritz / Corviglia
Corviglia is a location on the eastern slopes of Piz Nair, overlooking St. Moritz in the canton of Graubünden. It lies on the watershed between the rivers Schlattain (Val Saluver) and the Ovel da la Resgia (ending in Lake St. Moritz), at an elevation of 2,486 m (8,156 ft). Corviglia is mainly accessible from the town by the St. Moritz–Corviglia funicular, via Chantarella. At Corviglia, an aerial tramway climbs west to Piz Nair (3,057 m (10,030 ft)), unloading slightly below its summit. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Corviglia and many more St. Moritz attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's St. Moritz trip maker tool.
Corviglia is also the name of the ski area directly above St. Moritz. This area, together with the fully integrated Marguns area which is centered above the neighboring town of Celerina, is the largest skiing area in the Engadin. It hosted the alpine skiing events of the 1948 Winter Olympics and the World Championships in 1974 and 2003.

We got here and bought tickets for 2 days. The second day the area was closed because of the weather. They did not want to refund us or even give us a voucher to compensate for the second day...

Beautiful walk from Corviglia to St. Moritz by foot on winterwanderweg. We have been here with two dogs, the track is easy, with magnificient views to Silvaplana, Samedan, Pontresina and of course, the lake. There are benches on the foot track. Highly recommend this trip!!
I d been skiing here my whole life. What can I say about my favorite mountain in the world? It may not have the hardest skiing in the world, but it’s huge, and it is beyond gorgeous. The terrain is varied, treeless, and anyone who skis this area wearing headphones is missing out on the majesty and solitude of experiencing these mountains: the crisp crackle in the air, the sounds of almost nothing except the wind blowing. In summer or winter there is no place on earth like Corviglia.
