Despite its small size, Zell am See is a well-visited tourist destination known mostly as a ski resort town, and it serves as an important transportation hub for the region.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sun): hike along Reiterkogelbahn and then hit the slopes at Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm. Here are some ideas for day two: tour the pleasant surroundings at Schmittenhohe and then look for gifts at SOPURE - Salt & Soaps.

Take a break from the city and head to Stubaier Gletscher and Ski Arlberg. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Ischgl-Samnaun ski area and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental.
