Salisbury is a cathedral city in Wiltshire, England, and the only city within the county. Venture out of the city with trips to Hawk Conservancy Trust (in Weyhill), Beaulieu National Motor Museum (in Beaulieu) and Insight Activities Dorset (in Tolpuddle). And it doesn't end there: delve into the mystery of Stonehenge, look for all kinds of wild species at Harnham Water Meadows, make a trip to Old Sarum, and settle in for a delightful tour with Dorset Heavy Horse Farm Park.

On the 1st (Mon), admire the natural beauty at Longleat, then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, then admire the landmark architecture of Bath Abbey, and finally get engrossed in the history at The Roman Baths. On your second day here, see the interesting displays at Brunel's SS Great Britain, then explore the fascinating underground world of Cheddar Gorge, and then contemplate the long history of Wells Cathedral.

Swindon is a large town, in the ceremonial county of Wiltshire, South West England, midway between Bristol, 35mi to the west and Reading, 35mi to the east. Step out of Swindon with an excursion to Buscot House in Faringdon--about 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Lydiard Park, relax in the rural setting at Roves Farm, pause for some serene contemplation at St Mary's Lydiard Tregoze, and take in nature's colorful creations at Town Gardens.
