Create an itinerary including Natural History Museum
Natural History Museum houses one of the world's largest collections of natural history specimens. Here you can see 70 million specimens in the fields of botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology, and zoology. The vast collection makes it impossible to view everything on one visit, so consider a few of the highlights. You can choose from dinosaur skeletons, fossils, taxidermied specimens of large mammals, and artwork featuring exotic animals, among many other displays. Whichever exhibits you put on your list, make sure to include Treasures. This exhibit features specimens that the museum selected from its exhaustive collection for their scientific, historical, aesthetic, and cultural importance. You can visit permanent exhibits for free, but temporary exhibits have an associated fee. • It is big and if you are serious ,it takes lots of time. Plan spending at least half a day. There are some good collections of Dinosaurs, fossils, displays, movies, Live models and the museum store has massive collections. In fact there are more than one shop inside. The learning value is immense. The planet, animals, rocks, fossils, movies, displays one can spend hours devouring the huge amount of knowledge of past, present and the future. A lot of school children were visiting and that is a good thing . Seriously its well curated, designed and display quality is exceptional. It is unique in many ways. Just have the time and patience. Keep the camera ready. Photography is freely permitted and encouraged. There are multiple floors to explore.
  • Great place to see history of life and human. Very informative. Free entry for all age groups. We loved it. It is great for all age groups. Few interactive services were non operational and few need some instruction to use for first timers however it is great overall. Please expect 2 hrs for a visit with moderate details and 3 hrs for a detailed visit.
