  • Just four on this tour with all the NT staff giving their all. It’s well worth a look around and gives a wonderful insight to how the NT puts the life back into an empty home.

  • Another piece of history in this fascinating city. NT staff here were welcoming and informative. Mompesson also has a quiet shady beautiful small garden at rear.
  • Located in the cathedral close, you currently need to book in advance but the big advantage here is the introductory talk by the guides. As always, the guides and room stewards are well informed, approachable and willing to chat. All of the lower floor was open, along with a few rooms upstairs. The garden is quite simple and probably not at its best in early April. A very enjoyable visit.
