Considered a masterpiece of Early English Gothic architecture, Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta features the tallest spire in the UK, rising 123 m (404 ft) into the air. Completed between 1220 and 1258, this majestic building includes the largest cloister and cathedral close in the country, as well as the world’s oldest working clock, in service since 1386. Perhaps the cathedral’s most famous feature is a copy of the Magna Carta, regarded as the best preserved of the four originals still in existence. Stop by the cathedral’s chapter house to see this historic document and discuss its significance through the ages with knowledgeable guides. I recently visited the Magna Carta Chapter House and it was an excellent experience. The chapter house is a beautiful and historic building that is well-maintained and provides an interesting glimpse into the past. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and provided a lot of information about the history of the chapter house and the Magna Carta itself. The exhibits were well-done and informative, giving a good understanding of the context and significance of this important document. Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Magna Carta Chapter House for anyone interested in history, it was an informative and excellent experience

Fascinating place with some great displays that bring the Magna Carta's importance up to date. A great set of carvings telling the story on the book of Genesis with helpful info about that and other things available.
