  • Just brilliant. Spent about 3 hours here and still didn't manage to see everything. Loads of information available, tons of helicopters, and a few small planes for good measure. The helicopter show was really good and I enjoyed sitting in the Lynx and Scout. The memorial was very moving, particularly when you see how much of it dedicated to people lost in WW1 😢 Good cafe served by friendly and efficient staff
  • Fascinating walk through history showing pioneering inspiration of flying in the army from reconnaissance balloons, man kites, airships to planes, helicopters and flying car (!) before the formation of the RAF. Two aircraft hangers filled with these 'vehicles' in artistic displays. Numerous side displays depicting uniforms, weapons and personal issue kits from different wars and waxwork displays of people telling their stories, civilian air raid shelter and a 1940s house too.
