Home to the Lucy family for more than 800 years, the house is one of England’s best-preserved estates with formal gardens and miles of woodland walks opposite the River Avon. Costumed volunteers lead guided tours through the brewhouse, tack room and great hall. Stunning location and buildings. I was abit disappointed such a limited amount of the house was open on a Saturday however I will come back in the summer to explore the grounds more

One of the best NT sites we've been to. We visited at Easter and there was a treasure hunt for children which was really thoughtfully planned out and not too strenuous for little legs! We saw the deer and lots of wildlife by the lake too. You can see a lot in a short distance if mobility is an issue or you have small children, but there are some longer walks as well and it didn't feel crowded even though there were lots of cars in the car park.

Lovely house and grounds. As expected of a nation trust property. Very well kept. Unfortunately upon my visit the house was closed for maintenance yet spectacular grounds were open. Parking is ample. If you have small children or bicycles you do have to cross a road from the car park to the grounds so do be careful.
